St. John Chrysostom and the plank in your eye…

St. John Chrysostom (349-407) was known as the “Golden-Tongued one.” This Father of the Church was an eloquent preacher and, ultimately, a real pastor of souls. The patristic texts he composed were not meant for a classroom as a lecture, but as a father in faith engaging with his spiritual children, and he had to deal with practical problems that perennially perplex the People of God.
