Members from Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Council (Outlook) and guests recently met at St. Peter and St. Paul Cemetery near Broderick. It was a cool and misty day, but there was great enthusiasm for the project of planting a tree in celebration of the League’s 100th anniversary. A lilac bush—an old fashioned plant that blooms in the spring in abandoned yards throughout Saskatchewan was chosen. Someone, long ago, planted these hardy trees that now stand in quiet testimony to the resilience and beauty of life and of those whose footsteps we follow in.
