If the international community does not take immediate action, forced emigration could decimate what remains of the Christian population in the Nineveh Plains – a Catholic charity is warning in a fresh report out today.
According to the report by Catholic charity Aid to the Church in Need (ACN), unless steps are taken now the region’s Christian communities could drop to 23,000 by 2024 – 80 percent of the population before Daesh (ISIS) attacked in 2014.
