Armadale Parish community contribute talents for a meaningful Christmas

The Armadale Parish St Francis Xavier Church community took part in a series of events during the 2018 Christmas celebrations as their way of providing spiritual preparation.
Among the activities organised, include daily prayer sessions, receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation with the assistance of 23 other priests, the blessing and distribution of the four Advent candles pack, and a four week Advent Program, headed by Parish Priest Father Joseph Tran.

In the lead up to Christmas, a special advent retreat was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Highgate.
Weekly attenders were joined by many people from the wider community for the retreat, held onsite in the Church on the afternoon and evening of 8 December.
The retreat included talks, music, prayer, adoration as well as the sacraments of reconciliation and the mass.
Attendees also enjoyed a special afternoon tea and dinner together.

Marina Prior hit the Astor Theatre stage with glitz and glamour on 14 December 2018 to belt out a few of her favourite Christmas tunes.
The soprano singer-cum-actress was joined on stage by music genius David Cameron on the keys and guitar for her “Christmas with Marina Prior” show.

Jeremy Ryan, who featured in the 2015 season of Australian reality talent show The Voice, was the special guest performer.
They sang familiar numbers such as: O Come Let Us Adore Him, Away in a Manger, Memory, The First Noel, Hark the Herald Angels

Seton Community give their all for Christmas

Students and their families at Seton Catholic College have once again been very generous in their donation of items for Christmas Hampers for the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal.
Staff also have contributed funds so a ham could be bought to go with each Christmas Hamper.
The donated items are carefully sorted by a team of staff and students who volunteer their time to ensure that a range of goods go into each basket and then they are carefully arranged and wrapped into an attractive hamper.

Father Nino Vinciguerra delivered this message at joint IdentityWA and Personal Advocacy Service (PAS) final Mass for the year and Christmas celebrations that took place on Saturday 8 December at the Mercy College Koondoola Chapel.

The Year 7 students at Corpus Christi College in Bateman enjoyed an enlightening experience of compassion in action through an activity called ‘Prayer Bears’ this past Christmas.
The joint effort between the Religious Education Staff and the Ministry Team led by the Christian Service Learning Coordinator allowed the students to be engaged in learning about the power of prayer and witnessing social justice in action.
