Haiti: Monsignor Launay Saturne Appointed Archbishop of Cap-Haitien

Pope Francis on July 16, 2018, appointed Monsignor Launay Saturne, 54, up to now Bishop of Jacmel, Metropolitan Archbishop of Cap-Haitien (Haiti). He has been President of the Haitian Episcopal Conference since 2017.
Monsignor Launay Saturne was born on January 14, 1964, at Delatte (Petit-Goave), in the Archdiocese of Port-au-Prince. He was ordained priest on May 10, 1991, for the Archdiocese of Port-au-Prince.
After his priestly Ordination, he was Vicar of the Sacred Heart parish of Turgeau, at Port-au-Prince (1991-1997), and Director of the Propedeutique [foundation course for first-year University students] House at Jacquet, for the Archdiocese of Port-au-Prince.
