John Lukacs on Democracy and Populism

Hungarian John Lukacs (1924-2019) was born to a Catholic father and a Jewish mother. He studied history at the University of Budapest and fled to the United States in 1946 when it was evident that the Communist takeover of Hungary was imminent.
