Relic of the Curé d’Ars Visits Connecticut Parish

The church of St Catherine of Siena in Trumbull, Connecticut, the restoration of which we covered last month, recently welcomed the relic of the heart of St Jean-Marie Vianney, the Curé d’Ars. A Mass was celebrated for a standing-room only congregation by H.E. Daniel Cronin, archbishop emeritus of Hartford, on the evening of Monday, April 29, the feast day of the parish’s patron Saint. An all-night vigil immediately followed Mass and lasted well into the morning; people from all over Connecticut and beyond came to pray in the presence of the heart, which is still intact, although St Jean-Marie died 160
