SPECIAL REPORT: Curtin Digital Life Stories Project

“I knew I’d be a film star one day like Liz Taylor…and I was the star in that clip.” – Claire Fox, Castledare Village resident. Photo: Supplied.

As the Curtin Digital Life Stories Project screened to an audience of 100, Castledare’s Community Centre was charged with emotion.
Showcasing the digital autobiographies of 23 Castledare residents, the movies ran between five to 10 minutes and were created by 45 Occupational Therapy masters students of Curtin University as part of their Gerontology unit.
The project has been six years in the making as the students have delved into the lives of more than 150 residents
