Pope Approves Promulgation of Decrees of Congregation for Causes of Saints

Pope Francis on January 15, 2019, authorized the Congregation for the Causes of Saints to promulgate the causes of four candidates. The Pope made the announcement during an audience with Cardinal Angelo Becciu, prefect of the Congregation. The four are:
– the miracle attributed to the intercession of Blessed Marguerite Bays, virgin, of the Third Order of Saint Francis of Assisi; born in Pierraz, Switzerland on 8 September 1815 and died in Siviriez, Switzerland, on 27 June 1879;
