The Sisters of Italian volleyball

It was AGIL
Volley, the club based in Novara, which won the Italian women’s volleyball
championship. Why do we remember this? Because this association is unique of
its kind. Not so much and not only because of its name, which is an acronym (A
for amicizia [friendship], G for gioia [joy], I for impegno [commitment] and L for lealtà
[loyalty]), but rather because it is an association managed entirely by nuns.
Its President and CEO is Sr Giovanna Saporiti, while Sr Monica Loro is
Vice-President and the team managers are Sr Barbara Bertori and Sr Lorena
