Lake of Stars

When David Livingstone travelled through southern Africa in the 1880s he came upon a large lake which he called the Lake of Stars. He name it this because when seen at night the lake is covered in lights from the fishing boats with fishermen working at night. The light on the boat attracting the fish, but makes the lake appear to be covered in the light of stars overhead. That lake today is called Lake Nyasa in Tanzania and Mozambique, and Lake Malawi in Malawi.
