The birth of the Saviour on Christmas morn is also the ushering in of the ‘last days’, however long these last days last (over two millennia and counting); for even though a thousand years is as a day to God, the world is moving inexorably towards its final and definitive apocalypse, or, as the Greek term implies, an unveiling, revelation, of God’s final purpose.
