Hiding "gender transitioning" from parents is criminal
Bill 24 is terrible legislation for children and parents

Lawyer John Carpay from the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedom recently revealed in a media release a very disturbing story about “gender transitioning.” A young girl attending a school in Alberta decided to identify as a boy. The school followed government directives and agreed. The school kept the child’s “change” in gender a secret from the parents. Why? Because Alberta’s NDP government has implemented a “student privacy” policy on “gender transitioning” that instructs schools not to inform parents. The policy will soon become law with Bill 24, An Act to Support Gay/Straight Alliances.

Here are some of the sad details of what happened to an autistic 11 year-old girl. When puberty set in she told the school that she wanted to identify as a boy, and the school without telling the parents complied. They gave her a boy’s name; she could use the boys’ washroom and began wearing girl clothes. Imagine the social, psychological and biological confusion for this child. Even an adult could hardly cope with all the changes. But here we have a child with autism. At home she was a girl and at school she was a “boy.” She later became suicidal, it was only then that the school decided to inform the parents. She has since been removed from the school, and to protect her and the family, both her name and the family identity have been kept confidential. The family has understandably, because of the media attention they would get, decided not to proceed with a court case. But what the school did is nothing less then criminal.
And what is the Alberta’s government currently planning to do? They want to pass Bill 24, a law that will make it illegal to inform parents when their children joins gay/straight alliances (read secret school sex clubs) or decide to “gender transition.” The Rachel Notley NDP government has no right to violate Canada’s Constitution.
Parents have a right to know if their child joins a private school sex club and who are the adults in charge of the club. Gay/straight alliances, GSAs, are nothing more than school sex clubs. And the government wants to legally protect them from scrutiny. Parents have a right to know who is teaching their child, what materials and resources are being used and the topics being covered. Parents should know who in contact their child and what they are teaching them. Bill 24 will makes it illegal for parents to know whether children as young as five are being sexually indoctrinated or, as the case we mentioned, even abused. Parents will not know who has access to their children. Parents, not the province, must decide what is best for their children. GSAs should have no special protection under the law. Bill 24 is a terrible law.
Parents have the right to be informed and given a say about what their children are learning and doing. GSAs are no exception. Keeping what children do in GSAs is against Canada’s Constitution and provincial laws, such as Alberta’s Family Law Act and the Bill of Rights.
In addition, Bill 24 is in violation the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that makes the role of parents clear in Article 26(3): “Parents have a prior right to choose the kind of education that shall be given to their children.” Moreover, Article 16(3) says: “The family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by society and the State.” And then we have the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, to which Canada is a signatory, that states in Article 18(4): “The States Parties to the present Covenant undertake to have respect for the liberty of parents and, when applicable, legal guardians to ensure the religious and moral education of their children in conformity with their own convictions.” Bill 24 should be scrapped.

Bill 24 is a bad law. Schools intentionally hiding “gender transitioning” from parents is criminal even when they have the backing of the government and a bad law. Parents need to wake up to this tragic reality that innocent children face today. It’s the children who are being used as sexual guinea pigs as the province embarks on a dangerous, child abusive social experiment to indoctrinate and early sexualize children. Parents need to make their elected representatives accountable. Tell Rachel Notley to keep Caesar in her own bedroom.
