Catholic Priests Believes God Softened His Kidnappers Hearts – Perspectives Daily

We start today, with the story of another Catholic priest who was kidnapped, but this time in the African country of Nigeria. Italian priest Fr. Maurizio Pallu was travelling with a group of pilgrims, on their way to Mass in Benin City, on Oct. 12 when they were ambushed and kidnapped by several gunmen and held captive for nearly a week.

Thankfully they were freed on Tuesday this week. Although kidnappings for ransom are common in the area, Father Pallu told Vatican Insider yesterday, that he was unaware of any payments made to the attackers and believes that “God softened the hearts of his captors.” We were
