President of the Centre for Child Protection Speaks On The Regensburg Choir School Scandal – Perspectives Daily

A new report about abuse at a prestigious choir-school in Germany is an “Important step forward”, said Fr. Hans Zollner, who is the President of the Centre for Child Protection of the Pontifical Gregorian University, and a member of the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors.

According to Vatican Radio, an investigation, commissioned by the Diocese of Regensburg into abuse allegations at the Regensburg choir school, found that at least 547 former students, were victims to some form of abuse, between the years of 1945 to the early 1990’s, and 67 students were victims of sexual violence.
