Inclusivity and diversity yes, but no to Mother's and Father's Day

The above letter was sent home to parents with children in Grades 1 and 2 at The Albert McMahon Elementary School, in British Columbia. In an effort to fully respect “inclusivity and diversity” the school has decided to cancel celebrating Mother’s and Father’s Day. Parents who want to celebrate the day can do so in the privacy of their homes. In short, it’s just fine to discriminate against traditional families to avoid the hypothetical situation that non-traditional families may be feel left out. This is completely wrong and disrespectful to every mother and father that has children attending the school.According
