OLSW Hosts Talk on Lectio Divina
Ben and Kate O’Brien with their children at the 2016 Alumni Family Weekend
Peomen, one of the Desert Fathers once noted “Men speak of perfection, but they do precious little about it.” This lent, perhaps we can renew our effort to holiness with lectio divina.
Lectio Divina is a method of prayer that reaches back to the Church Fathers. Since Sacred Scripture is the inspired Word of God, the Church strongly encourages regular reading and meditation on the Scriptures. On the evening of March 9, alumnus Ben O’Brien and his wife, Katelyn, introduced about 25 students to both personal and group lectio.
