A common scene in Castro’s Cuba.  Empty shelves.Yours truly took this photo in a Cuban store in downtown Havana.  Where Cubans shop.  Only their currency is accepted here.  Only Cubans are allowed to shop here.  Tourist currency is separate and not recognized here.Indeed, socialism has brought nothing but misery this this persecuted, Catholic, people.   The Communists blame the embargo. Even sugar, which is produced on the island in great quantity, is barely available.  Notice the locals are only allowed the cheap cigars, arguably made from banana leaves, while Castro smoked the Cohiba, the most expensive cigar available, sold exclusively to
