Archbishop Kaigama calls on President Buhari to protect citizens
The Archbishop of Jos and President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria, Ignatius Kaigama, has reacted with disbelief and anger at the “casual and deliberate manner” in which lives of innocent citizens are being lost in Nigeria.
The Bishop’s reaction comes as news of the mass killings in Southern Kaduna unfolds. There are reports of killings across 53 villages in the four local government areas of Souther Kaduna in Nigeria.
According to Nigerian media, the Vicar-General of Kafanchan Catholic Archdiocese, Fr. Ibrahim Yakubu was widely quoted as saying 808 people were killed in mass killings that happened notwithstanding a 24 hours
