Editor’s Note: Right now is a good time for parents and students to closely examine campus housing policies as students are preparing to enter or return to college this fall. The Cardinal Newman Society published an alarming report in February that found the majority of Catholic colleges in the U.S. have policies permitting students of the opposite sex to visit each other in bedrooms until early morning hours, behind closed doors.
