Cum Erubuerint (While Downcast Parents Blushed)

Cum Erubuerint is an antiphon for the Blessed Virgin Mary by the German mystic, Saint Hildegard of Bingen (1098-1179). It begins: “Cum erubuerint infelices in progenie sua procedentes in peregrinatione casus (While downcast parents blushed, ashamed to see their offspring wand’ring off into the fallen exile’s pilgrimage)”.
