The four hooks where Francis hangs his thinking

The Holy Father has since his thirties propounded four principles that he says derive from the four pillars of the Church’s Social Doctrine (subsidiarity, solidarity, common good, dignity of the person). It’s difficult to see how the former attach to the latter, but an analysis by a Barnabite priest seeks to provide some illumination.
