Yesterday, August 7th, we remembered the martyrdom of Pope Saint Sixtus II and his companions. Saint Sixtus consecrated Bishop of Rome in 257, was seized by Roman soldiers the following year, by order of the Emperor Valerian, while saying Mass in the cemetery of Saint Callistus
