On 31 May, Patriarch Sviatoslav (Shevchuk) of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church arrived at the Edmonton Eparchy within the framework of his first pastoral visit to Canada.
Patriarch Sviatoslav was met at the airport in Calgary by the Eparch Davyd (Motiuk) of Edmonton with representatives of the clergy, monastics and lay people of the eparchy, reported the Information Department of UGCC.
Tomorrow, on 2 June, the Head of UGCC is to participate in the celebratory event on occasion of the 100th anniversary of establishment of the Parish of the Assumption of the Holy Mother of God in Calgary.
