Msgr. Steenson visits Ottawa

Msgr. Jeffrey Steenson visited with Cardinal Thomas Collins in Toronto today, then came up to Ottawa.  Carl Reid, our former Anglican Catholic Church of Canada bishop, met him at the train and entertained him until the Diocesan Feast Mass was over.  These pictures were taken at the reception.  Above, Msgr. Steenson, Carl Reid and Ottawa Archbishop Terrence Prendergast.

Needless to say, conversation was animated!  On the left is Fr. John Lowe, a Companions of the Cross priest who studied under Msgr. Steenson in Houston!  Small world!

And who should happen to walk by the cathedral (wearing his shorts, not shown) and notice it was open and come in out of the thunderstorm but Christopher Mahon, who sings like an angel and is part of the Toronto Ordinariate group when he is not here in Ottawa.  So he got to meet the Ordinary as well.
