Joseph: This is a toilet…this is the flusher handle…this is the drain pipe…this is the overflow pipe….here is the sink, with the water pipe and the waste water pipe……they all go out of the house….and underground here…

Scene: In the dining room.

Joseph: There is an air vent in the dining room

Me: Yes, there is

Joseph: and one in mama’s bedroom

Me: Yes, there is.

Joseph: and in my room

Me: Yes

Joseph: and in the small bedroom.

Me: Yes, one there too.

Joseph: But no air vents in the living room.

Me: Yes, none in the living room. And none in the kitchen.

Joseph: No! There is one in the kitchen!

Me: is there?

Joseph: Yes! There is one above the pin-board

Me: Oh…there is?

Chris: He’s right, there is

Joseph: Daddy, you got new glasses!

Chris: Yes, I did! You are the only one to have noticed all day Joseph!

Me: ….I didn’t notice….

(I had seen daddy all the previous evening and didn’t notice the new glasses, whereas you noticed the instance you saw him when he walked through the door after work the next day!!)
