Atheism Defined

Dear Atheists,

Yes, I know you don’t believe in God. You don’t have to bring this fact to my attention. You can believe that something was created out of nothing for no reason if that makes sense to you. I wish you would re-consider, am willing to discuss it with you, but don’t care to volley back and forth nonsense such as “yes there is”, “no there isn’t”. I care about where you will spend Eternity, but not that much.

To the Canadian athesists I submit:

“CANADIAN CHARTER OF RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS

Whereas Canada is founded upon principles that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of law:”

Notice the word God is captialized?

Recognize this little ditty?

God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.”

Pat Martin’s Standards

*Warning* The following article contains language that some may find offensive.

OTTAWA – NDP Pat Martin is known for his sharp sound bites, but it’s his profanity-laced Twitter tirade that is making news on Thursday.

Martin, frustrated by the Conservatives habit of shutting down debate on bills, aired his grievances on Twitter Wednesday night, tweeting:

PatMartinMP

This is a fucking disgrace…closure again. And on the Budget! There’s not a democracy in the world that would tolerate this jackboot shit

But it wasn’t just Conservatives that were the target of the tirade. Some of Martin’s online followers didn’t appreciate his comments and let him know.

One tweeted:

@PatMartinMP

Sad how a foul mouth socialist capitalizes “Budget” but not “god”

To that, Martin replied:

Another follower tweeted:

bradwchambers

I never tweet “politics” but

@patmartinmp

is an absolute disgrace to the party/riding he represents & Cdn political system.

Martin didn’t seem to agree, tweeting back:

One shocked reader asked Martin if his Twitter account has been hacked. Martin tweeted it had not.

@briar27

nope. Not hacked. Just truly pissed off…you should have seen them last night laughing and joking in their smug ignorance

“His language was not appropriate and could have been offensive to some. That said, the Conservatives’ actions are not appropriate in a democracy and offensive to all Canadians,” said NDP interim leader Nycole Turmel of Martin’s comments.
